Year 5 National Space Centre Trip: 4th March 2026
Year 5 had a day to remember at the National Space Centre in Leicester!
The excitement started early as we came face-to-face with a massive, real-life rocket and took turns exploring a rocket simulator to see what life is like for a crew in space. We also headed into the planetarium to discover the amazing (and slightly gross!) ways astronauts survive in zero gravity.
To top it all off, we watched the ‘It IS Rocket Science’ show, which was packed with live experiments that showed us exactly how much power it takes to get into space.
It was a brilliant, hands-on way to bring our Science lessons to life.
